Mrs Hogarty runs Garden to Table sessions once or twice per term when our teachers have their classroom release time. The session usually runs over one or two blocks. Some of the time is spent working in the gardens and the rest of the time we harvest, prepare and cook with our vegetables or fruit. We then come together to share the kai.

Throughout the year, tamariki observe the changing seasons and full food cycle and how planting, harvesting, and cooking change to reflect seasonality.

Garden to Table is curriculum-linked, meaning kids are learning core subjects while getting their hands dirty in the garden and kitchen.
